i want to climb things. scaffolding, trees, buildings, fences. i want to go up. maybe because we can never see very much space at once. la plaza mayor can be a bit of a shock if you're not expecting it. narrow calles, business, cars, people, shops, crosswalks, churches-OPEN SPACE! it's nice. oh, one other thing that's refreshing... the occasional loose stone in the sidewalk after esgueva ends or the one on the second floor in our apartment building. it's proof that a city can survive with imperfections. it will be okay.
